JOHN O'GROATS HERE WE COME - ON A TRACTOR!

Although it can only reach 40mph, staff at a Derbyshire firm are hoping that a tractor will get them from Lands End to John O'Groats.

The team from Cotmanhay-based G & R Pykett are due to start the 874-mile challenge tomorrow.

And they will be relying on just one tank of bio-diesel to get them from Cornwall to Scotland.

Richard Pykett, a partner at the farming equipment supplier in Polar Farm, came up with the idea.

He said that by going the distance the firm hoped to raise more than £10,000 for two children's charities.
