Johnny Depp's portrayal as the sexually-ambiguous, booze-addled pirate Captain Jack Sparrow has catabulted the Pirates of the Caribbean into the pop-culture firmament and the box-office stratosphere. In this print interview with Ian Nathan, Depp bares his buccaneer soul.

Depp’s final moments were filmed at an old aircraft hangar in Palmdale, just north of Los Angeles, where a replica of Sparrow’s beloved ship, The Black Pearl, had been built.

One of the scenes saw Sparrow all alone and wrestling with his conscience – a suitably reflective moment on which to bow out of the role.

"He was having a good-versus-evil dialogue with himself. It was one of those moments where you are just doing anything you can to postpone it.

Gore said, “I think we’ve got everything, but do you want another take?” And I said, “Yes, let’s do another take. Let me try something else.”

But it was only because I didn’t want to face the inevitable.

I’d been that person for umpteen months. I didn’t want to say goodbye."

(Disclosure: Whilst jordan does not condone the piloting of watercraft while under the influence of alcohol, he is a big Pirates fan)

Captain Jack Sparrow will be sadly missed by many fans the World over, His Charm and Sex Appeal had all the Ladies Begging for More ... while his Sense of Fun and Adventure Made most Men fall around Laughing at him.

The movies have been well made and the Cast have been Prefect to say the least` Johnny Depp is for sure one of the Most Talented Actors I have seen on the big Screen for many Years, Where or What will Mr Depp turn to next ? after reaching such a High` has his bubble burst ! only time will tell.
