Depp will be playing with the razors in Tom Burton’s promising movie, Sweeney Todd. The announcement of their sixth collaboration so far, was made public yesterday.

The woozy pirate is now expected to perform his own singing in the Stephen Sondheim’s musical “Sweeney Todd,” about a 19th century barber who’s seeking for revenge over his unfair imprisonment on the great and good of London by slashing their throats and using them as pie-filling.

The composer himself will be auditioning the actor as he is afraid that Johnny Depp’s voice might lack the necessary strength need to perform such a role, his vocals may be "too rock 'n' roll". Depp has a previous appearance in the 1990 musical "Cry-Baby" and performed in a rock band called P.
