AFGHANISTAN, improvements are on the way...

I remember the night when I arrived, to
the Afghan border, it was in the '72.

Two rocks an a log, this was the
marking-border.

A hot night, full of magic and mystery
in the air, our passports were checked, under the lights of some
candles...

An entire generation fell in love with
this country.

We saw what we wanted to see.

In this torn- apart-land, finally, are
arriving, the very first signs of marked improvement in the health
sector, it is a beginning to life again, for this country.

Infant mortality rates in Afghanistan
,declined from an estimated 165 per 1,000 live births in 2001 to
about 135 per 1,000 in 2006, according preliminary findings of Johns
Hopkins University household survey

This means that 40,000 fewer infants
are dying each year compared to during Taleban rule.

An overall improvement of 25 per cent
is indicated from 2004.

Dr.Fatimi, Public Health Minister of
Islamic Republic of Afghanistan , quotes:'There are clear signs of
health sector recovery throughout the country!”

Afghanistan is ruled by the sign
