Karen Kring's Channel

Karen Kring is now with Kring Lerner Group, an agency specializing in photography, journalism and other media projects. She was the Assistant Director of Media Relations for Illinois Institute of Technology until December 2007. She still finds the school and the neighborhood fascinating. She previously served as the new media manager at the Community Media Workshop at Columbia College. Kring does a lot of writing and editing these days, but much experience of her experience is in photojournalism and designer. She's worked for the Chicago Tribune, Sun-Times News Group, the AP, Rockford Register Star and other news outlets and publishers. She is co-founder of PICTURE THIS Projects, a philanthropic group of photographers, journalists and community members creating and supporting photo projects that encourage creative expression, self-esteem and bridging the gap between people of different backgrounds.
