Kazakhstan stops 12 billion barrels of Oil to the West.

The Kazakhstan Government has taken it’s lead from Russia in citing enviornmental concerns to shut down the Kashagan Oil field. The hopes of western oil interests that Kazakhstan may be an alternative to Russian energy markets has never looked bleaker. The Kazakh Governments first target is ENI oil as they attempt to muscle in on Oil profits.
