Keta's Channel

Born in Prague, Czech. My parents (lunatics) waited until the day the Soviet tanks came to flee. Spent six months in Switzerland, decided to move to Canada. Grew up in Ottawa. Moved to Vancouver just in time for high school.

UBC BA (Poli.Sci./Phil.) 1989; Graphic Design diploma 1990.

Worked in print shops and publishing houses since then. Latest as graphic designer, editor, project manager, promotions director and advertising sales manager for Madison's Canadian Lumber Directory. After four years and three books, decided to do something new.

Erstwhile web designer (it's still in the works, don't look yet), multi-media guru, camera operator, and promotions director for Hancock Wildlife Foundation.

New publisher of Madison's Lumber Reporter. Market analysis, comment, prices on wholesale lumber commodities (from dimension to panel, cedar to hemlock, green and KD) in an eight page weekly newsletter.
