I am proud to say that my mother Dr. Carol Gigliotti will be speaking at Kindred Spirits on Saturday. The University of Indiana is hosting the event this weekend. The key note is none other than Donna Haraway. This is the first event of its kind, and the hope is that it will not be the last. And it is being held in the Midwest! Too cool...

This interdisciplinary conference, the first of its kind at Indiana University, sets out to explore the complex relationships between human and nonhuman animals in all their myriad forms, and the ways in which nonhuman animals are viewed, represented, portrayed, and used.
