The white supremacist Ku Klux
Klan, long associated with lynching and burning crosses, is staging
a comeback in the US by exploiting the volatile issue of
immigration, experts and rights groups say.

According to a report released
this month by the Antidefamation League (ADL), the Klan has
experienced a “surprising and troubling resurgence” in the last
year, mainly because of the debate raging over the 11 million,
mostly Hispanic, illegal immigrants now living in the United States.
