NIRVANA - smells like teen spirit

Courtney Love is planning to sell husband Kurt Cobain's personal belongings through auction house Christie's. Love emphasizes that a portion of the proceeds will to go to charity, but also affirms some selfish (though understandable) reasons behind her choice: she needs to get the items out of her house, which she called "a mausoleum" when speaking to AOL. She also mentioned that she still sleeps in Kurt's pajamas, something she hopes to move on from by auctioning off his stuff.

Love and Cobain wed in 1992 and had a daughter, Frances Bean, that year. Cobain committed suicide in 1994.

"My daughter doesn't need to inherit a giant ... bag full of flannel ... shirts," says Love, former frontwoman of the rock band Hole. "A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to `(Smells Like) Teen Spirit' — that's what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we'll just ... sell."
