Lancashire countryside, what a beautiful view, farms, forest and an abundance of wildlife. Its well worth taking fifteen days out and spoiling yourself in the rural delights, I cant think of a better way of spending a holiday..

Join the Bowland Festival, from 2-17 June 2007, to celebrate the birds, wildlife, landscape and culture of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Discover the Forest of Bowland’s exceptional birds and wildlife, explore its heritage, enjoy its landscape and sample local food and drink.

The Bowland Festival offers an opportunity to discover more at over 100 events and activities led by local experts. Early birds can take a dawn chorus walk with experts from the RSPB, while those feeling creative can learn how to paint the landscape or take part in a quilting workshop. There will also be the rare chance to see what local farmers are doing to manage their land for the benefit of wildlife.
