Laura Schlessinger hating working mothers and protesters

Have you ever read of all Laura Schlessinger did when her only child, Deryk Schlessinger, was young (she claims she wasn't a working mother like those she scolds)? The accounts of several people who were in the radio studio (even late shifts, time after time) when a very spoiled Derky ran around annoying the workers. Laura was h*ll to deal with so the brat had the run while Derky's working mother worked and neglected her only child. Now Laura devotes alot of time making mothers feel guilty if they must work. The November 26, 2006, Santa Barbara New-Press column that she writes as the LOCAL "VOICE" (Wendy McCaw) was again about her promotions (like books, she's also promoting her "husband" book, Jenny McCarthy is more honest.) THIS IS THE COLUMN THAT IS MEANT TO BE LOCAL. Most of this Sunday LOCAL column was dedicated to Laura's hypocritical scold, quotes supposedly from others (with her editing). She only prints the "letters" that praise her, she did give them 1st names this time, and said in general "I've gotten some thumbs up around town_and_these letters." NO actual names or locations, but "around town" makes it as local as she'll do here. It's not that there is no one in all of Santa Barbara that likes her, it's because of these lowly tricks that SO MANY see her as a fraud and worse. People don't like being tricked and lied to. If Laura does this locally you can bet she's spreading her behaviors in her GLOBAL promotions. The News-Press will be in court for their unsavory tactics. They ignore any letters they don't like and fudge the rest. Like Laura Schlessinger, they are unethical. When Laura writes about the community it is to attack an award winning philanthropist, Laura's idea of art or the hard working decent people who protest against unjust bias. The top photo is from outside the November 11, 2006 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Biltmore in Montecito, California where Jay Leno crossed over for about $100,000.00. Melinda Burns is reading a statement. They are asking Wendy to sit down and talk. Lou Cannon said: "It's going to be a long fight. Do enough people in Santa Barbara care about honest news to mount a long-term campaign? I hope so, because their fight is our fight." .

Feminism gets shot in the headscarf
'Woman"
sailor?

Wow -- it's been a very sad occurrence for feminism, specifically, the notion of women as warriors. Faye Turney, one of 15 British sailors abducted by the Iranian government in Iraqi waters, has made a public statement that disputes the GPS data given by the UK. She said that "obviously, we trespassed."  ls
