The search is on for a new Leicester City manager today following Martin Allen's departure from the club after just four games in charge.

Rumours of a rift between the City boss and chairman Milan Mandarić came to the fore yesterday when the chairman admitted there had been "a breakdown in the relationship''.

Mr Mandaric said today that differences of opinion over how Allen would lead the Foxes to ''the top of the mountain'' were behind his departure.
