Your photo is of the Puritans in Waterloo Bonfire Society carrying plaques of the main conspirators who hoped to blow up King and parliament in1605, not the 17 protestant dissidents burnt to death in Lewes between 1555 and 1557. Bound in a cart behind is the effigy of Guy Fawkes.
