9/11 Remembered: A Roundup
Anniversaries are for looking back and looking forward at the same time. Such is the anniversary of 9/11 – a day so significant that it is known simply by the date. No matter your political perspective, 9/11 was a turning point, a turning point in American history a turning point in the history of the world. Today, six years later we look back at what happened on that day when over 3,000 people who just got up and went to work were indiscriminately killed.
The politics of the matter should be left to the editorials and the opinion columns – but here NowPublic remembers what happened on 9/11. We call on all NowPublic contributors to share their memories of the day. Our thoughts are with the victims and the world to heal the pain of loss and bring peace to the globe so we can truly live as a global society.

Ryan, thanks a million man. This day changed a lot of lives. I joined the military in response. It is almost as time stopped. The world now revolves around 9/11

All of the the people I know in New York say the same thing: They don't care. They've moved on. I lived a mile away from ground zero.
