Fireworks light up the sky over Canberra City 8 seconds into the New Year of 2008. The display lasted for 9 minutes. Unlike what was reported about the Sydney event, I had no trouble finding a clear view of the fireworks.

Lots of people wait near Taipei 101 for New Years eve fireworks. And it was amazing to see lots of fireworks shot from building like a fireworks tree.
