Talk show hosts Nat and Drew interviewed Linda Solomon about the Tyee/Vancouver Observer Life Without TV series Thursday morning on 95Crave FM at 6:45.  The interview covered a wide range of issues about parenting in the age of drupal and text messaging.  Plug them in, or pull  the plugs?  Nat and Drew investigated the question with Linda  of whether a parent can remain sane without a TV. Conversation followed in which a wide range of mothers called in to the station to say that letting kids watch is an essential part of getting through the day for them.  "How do you cook dinner with kids hanging off you?" someone asked.  "There's nothing wrong with television," someone else commented.  And, "you gotta give them something to entertain themselves with," another person said.  "There's nothing at all wrong with letting them watch Blues Clues while you cook."  Linda is always surprised that the series evokes these kinds of responses, because their point is not to criticize other people's choices, but merely to show what happens if you go this route.
