Canada to present 185 houses to tsunami survivors in Aceh

Banda Aceh, Aceh Province (ANTARA News) - The Canadian Red Cross will
present 185 houses to tsunami survivors in Krueng Raya, Aceh Besar
District, Aceh Province, on December 3, 2007.
Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia John Holmes would symbolically hand
over the newly constructed houses, Febi Orida, a spokesperson of the
Canadian Red Cross in Indonesia said here on Saturday.
The Canadian Government through the Canadian International Development
Agency (CIDA) has provided a total of 130 million Canadian dollars or
Rp1.24 trillion to construct 6,300 houses for tsunami survivors in Aceh
Province an Nias (North Sumatra Province), which were devastated by
deadly earthquake and tsunami on December 26, 2004.(*) END
