ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - For most, standing naked facing the North Atlantic in the middle of December would be cruel and unusual punishment.

But for about 50 brave Newfoundlanders, baring it all for the cameras along the St. John's waterfront at the crack of dawn Saturday was an opportunity they couldn't resist.

Now that gives one the chills... on many levels.

I'm thinkin' Spencer Tunick before I even click on the link... no! He doesn't have a monopoly on naked crowd/landscape photography. I wonder if this will lead to a sort of artistic rivalry.

Newfoundland: where photography just got out of the pool! (My sister-in-law's from the Maritimes... the photos I've seen of the region are awesome. Now, should I visit, I know I won't need to pack heavily)
