January 7, 2008 - An unusual case came up as a dog, a labrador, came in to vets in the Austrian town Bad Goisern, completely drunk and over the limit.

A dog owner brought his 3-year-old labrador Dingo to the vet because the dog was swaying from side to side and could not walk straight.

Tests showed that the dog had a blood alcohol content which was way over any type of legal limit. The owner stated the dog stole a half a kilogram of fresh yeast dough from the kitchen. The snack is bad for dogs like Dingo, as alcohol was formed inside the body.

Dingo ended up being completely drunk from the yeast's fermentation process.

Dingo's owner stated "Nasty people often say that we hunters are often drunk, but in my case it was the dog."

Vet Carl Hofbauer stated "Obviously, I could not use a breathalyser, so I had to take a blood sample and have it analyzed in a lab for human samples." This was to all realize that Dingo was drunk as a skunk
