Update: this no doubt is good news for the finacially-troiubled automaker GM. Also good news for workers, who, had a strike seriously impacted production, could have faced a significant loss of jobs.

The UAW and General Motors (GM) reached a tentative agreement this morning on a new, landmark contract for 74,000 autoworkers, ending the union's first nationwide strike against the automaker in 37 years.

PEP, I'd hate to see GM go down, workers and management really need to work at this together, sort out the problems over a couple of beers and get producing some great new lower energy consumption models. Good stuff.
