Nude flights all the rage in Germany

A German travel company now offers nudism on flights. They say the idea will fly because many Germans are nostalgic for the government-sanctioned naturism that was popular during communist rule.
Hmmm...does this change the rules of the mile-high club?
German holidaymakers will be able to indulge their love of naturism by taking to the skies nude on special flights being launched this year, a travel company said today.
The flights are aimed specifically at former East Germans, nicknamed "Ossis" in German, who feel nostalgic for the naturism that was authorised and extremely popular under communist rule.
Tickets cost E499 ($A838) and there are just 50 seats on board the jet.
"All the passengers will fly naked, but they are only allowed to undress once they are in the plane. But then they will be able to enjoy the hour-long flight in the way God intended," Hess said.
The pilot and the flight attendants will however keep their clothes on.

Hello Rob,
I'm not a prude - I was after all, a child of the sixties, a lover of nature, living and loving, dancing in the grass, flowers in my hair ... *sigh* Sorry. I grew perhaps, just a little nostalgic there.
That said, I couldn't think of a more uncomfortable way to spend an hour flying, than with some big lug sitting next to me, wheezing and coughing and then attempting to wipe my ! because he sputtered everywhere!
Or the ones that always read over your shoulder while you're reading - you'd never know if they were really reading or not. It's bad enough when these people are clothed, let alone having to deal with the social embarrassment.
Besides, I can't hold my breath in for that long.

Good point. Visualizing the nuts and bolts, er, ins and outs, er, practicalities of this idea is not a pretty picture.

As long as the capitain isn't naked and the stewardesses are naked I think this concept might fly.

Rob Peters, I wonder if they have leather seats on the plane or those scratchy ones. Either kind would be bad. In fact, it all sounds pretty silly.

Quite amazing. I had no idea that East Germany was pro-nudism.
