Exactly what will a piper (the player of the Great Highland Bagpipe) do for you at a wedding? There are a lot of pipers on the Internet offering their services for weddings in the UK with a menu of options for you to choose from - each one adding cost to your day. At Scottish Highland Entertainments we assume that your piper will and should be there for approximately 4 hours, basically to play for you whenever you want. The normal scenario is for the piper to play the guests and bride into church, perhaps playing the bride down the aisle, playing the couple out of the church (or venue) and then going to the reception venue to play the guests in. The last duty would be to play the top table into dinner and then the bride and groom. Where there is a Master of Ceremonies there would often be a little 'toasting' ceremony to the bride. This normally takes 4 hours - but you have to be adaptable! Weddings don't always run to time. So why pay for a menu of options? One price should give you everything!

People that CHARGE over the odds when they see the word wedding are not being fair.
