Yudhoyono asks Indonesian haj pilgrims to pray for nation

Religious Affairs Minister M Maftuh Basyuni said President Susilo Bambang Yudhyono has congratulated Indonesian haj pilgrims in Mecca and asked them to pray for the safety and welfare of the Indonesian nation.
Speaking before Indonesian haj pilgrimage personnel and officials here on Sunday evening, Basyuni reminded the country`s haj pilgrims to pray as much as possible in Arafah where the peak of the haj rituals will take place on Tuesday.
The minister also reminded the Indonesians performing the haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia to abide by existing Saudi regulations in order to prevent disaster.
