Zamboni Fire

I played ice hockey last night and never appreciated the danger of the Zamboni catching on fire. Check out the video here.

A zamboni caught fire while resurfacing the ice after a high school game at a suburban Philadelphia rink.

The Ice Works filled with smoke about 11:30 p.m. Friday and the facility was evacuated. No injuries were reported. The zamboni was badly damaged.

Green Ridge Fire Department captain Sean Joyce told WPVI-TV the zamboni was running on propane at the time of the fire and that the propane tanks and a hydraulic fuel leak on the ice made the call more dangerous.
