In yet another terrifying episode of politics-by-death, terrorists set off bombs in an amusement park and restaurant. The suffering of those killed, those injured, and those who lost loved ones is, to some, the way to make a political point.

The seemingly-endless cycles of killing-at-random have long overtaken any impression that a solvable political process is in the works. Perhaps in detonating a bomb the terrorists aren't just killing other people, they're killing the idea of negotiations and peace.

A Bangladesh-based group was responsible for carrying out several bombings that killed at least 42 people in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, Indian officials have said.

"Information points to the involvement of terrorist organisations based in Bangladesh," YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the chief minister for Andhra Pradesh state, said on Sunday.
