The situation in Kenya is poor
and getting rapidly worse. Until very recently, the 40,000 km of
northern Masailand were a stronghold of lions and other wildlife. In
the last five years, much of this population has been decimated by
poison and spearing, both in retaliation for livestock killed by lions
and for traditional Olamayio
