According to Plainfield Police Chief Donald Bennett, cadaver dogs were used during two searches of the Stebic home prior to the official search on May 14, 2007, and the dogs made a positive hit.

It is not known whether the dogs made the positive hit on clothing, furniture or any other items or rooms in the home.

I don't know the criminal laws and procedures in Illinois, but doesn't that seem to be enough justification to bring Craig Stebic in for questioning? That is more evidence than what police had against John Wayne Gacy and he had 33 bodies in his home.

Why is he refusing to speak with police? Why is he refusing to allow his children to speak to police? Why is he acting like life is normal and has the snide attitude of, "Ugh...this is such an inconvenience..."

What kind and how much more evidence do investigators need in order to bring Stebic in for FORMAL questioning?
