Llangollen Fringe Festival

Music and Dance (Flamenco, Russian choral, 80s retro, NZ hot rock, contemporary folk and blues) stand-up comedy, celebrity guests, workshops, dancing in the street, kids' entertainment and eat in the street ecostyle.

With more than 3000 years of local history, Crow Castle - Castell Dinas BranValle Crucis Abbey and Prehistoric Archaeology in Denbighshire, plus some of the best Landscapes - latest slideshow in the UK, I'd be happy to stay for months..

Llangollen  Fringe Festival, Clwyd, north east Wales, kicks off its 10th anniversary on Tuesday 17th July 2007 with a host of alternative entertainment.

With the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod having just finished, fringe organisers believe they are filling an audience niche left by its bigger cousin, which is growing annually.

Headlining for today’s opening is punk band The Damned and Captain Sensible with 80 performers in the town until Saturday July 28.

Other acts include comedian's Milton Jones Michael Fabbri, Folk band Time Passages and from Wellington,  New Zealand, Soul / Funk / Reggae with The Black Seeds.

During the next 10 days bands, singers, dancers, and comedians will entertain at the Llangollen Town Hall.

Venue Information

Businesses in Llangollen such as the small shopkeeper say they get more trade from us, compared to the International, being situated in the town,” said one of the festival’s directors Roger Goodman.

Hi,

I've uploaded video of the Acoustic Theatre at the Fringe to Nowpublic. It's worth a look for the sheer atmosphere they generated.

Check out this link.
