I am looking for the mobile "story behind the story", i.e. the "meta" story. If you are using a mobile device (e.g. cameraphone, videophone, Blackberrys, tablet PCs, a WiFi device like a Sony PSP, Sony Mylo, or Nokia N800, etc) and if it helps or hinders your story creation, I'd love to know about it. I want to hear about success stories as well as problems!
I'd love to know your thoughts on how we can make story creation with mobile devices easier. Due to the low speed of our mobile networks, and the current state of mobile technology, this experience is much more painful than it should be. I'm sure that you have ideas on how this could be improved!
For those who are more technical, I've got a longer piece about improving mobile content creation in Drupal and I've got lots of mobile related stuff on my blog. Now Public uses Drupal so this applies to Now Public as well as the many thousands of Drupal sites on the internet. My piece is Drupal specific but applies to other Content Management and Blogging Systems.
What's my background and why do I care? I am a mobile story creator "early adopter" so I feel your pain! I have over 9000 photos uploaded to flickr from various Nokia cameraphones. I've also experimented with uploading video direct from a mobile phone to Vox and blip.tv. And I am one of the editors of Urban Vancouver, a community blog for Vancouver.
Finally, I work for a Drupal company, Bryght. Drupal being open source, I'd like to do my bit to help make Drupal more mobile friendly which benefits the entire open source Drupal community as well as Bryght.
Tag your story 'mojo' for 'Mobile mojo' and I'll find it (or email roland AT rolandtanglao). Let's get started!
