Three teenagers who set off holiday fireworks in eastern Germany could be fined by...an ostrich farmer. Yes, an ostrich farmer, whose prize male, Gustav, was allegedly rendered temporarily unable to perform by the blast.

The farmer claims that fireworks set off by the boys made the previously lustful Gustav apathetic and depressed, and thus unable to perform with his two female breeding partners for a half a year, according to the lawsuit.

Before Gustav regained his sex drive in the second half of the year, the farmer estimates he lost out on 14 ostrich offspring — worth $460 apiece.

The suit is to be heard March 12 in a regional court in nearby Bautzen, the court said today. The teens were not identified by name
