M1 Motorway Hanging

Motorists faced severe delays this morning after part of the M1 was closed following the death of a man.

Nottinghamshire UK police were alerted to a body hanging from a motorway bridge near Salmon Lane, between Annesley Woodhouse and Selston, by passing motorists.

Firefighters and police officers arrived at 6.30am and closed the near-side lane of the northbound carriageway at junction 27.

The lane was reopened at about 8am.
