Mach 5 designing budget SPL woofer

In the essence of Mach 5’s previous budget oriented drivers, they are
designing a reasonably priced SPL woofer. Mark from Mach 5 has
commisioned the help of the infamous Loyd Lowry to test the limits
(read: kill) of the prototype and find its weak points. Looks like it
has the making of a great driver so far and Mach 5’s other drivers have
garnished quite the reputation for great performing budget woofers. Not
much has been released about this new driver other than they are
shooting for power handling in the range of 2kw+ continuous. The
prototype is a 12″ subwoofer and the factory claimed power handling is
3.4kw, but that has yet to be tested.
