I’m not going to lie… I had a real shit time with this week’s theme. I couldn’t think of anything and after 45 minutes of walking through my entire house, I had jack and shit. I even tried powerbook's advice with bouncing light off the walls with my speedlight to get cool shadows...

At one point, I was sitting in my computer chair eating a Jello pudding snack and I aimed my camera at the cup and as I took the picture, I thought to myself… wow… its come down to this?

Anyway… I thought about shooting a cigarette and capturing the texture of the burnt tobacco, and then I though… oh... Fire! I used a tripod to hold the camera, a wine bottle with tape to hold the match, had the remote trigger in my left hand and a lighter in my right... took a long time to get this, I hope you like it.

Taken with a Nikon D50 w/ a 28-200mm Nikkor Lens
