A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure of more than €107m worth of cocaine in west Cork.

At a special sitting of Clonakilty District Court, Gerard Hagan with an address in Liverpool was charged with possession of cocaine for sale and supply at Dunlough Bay, Mizen Hand on 2 July.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Dunmanway District Court next Wednesday.

An application for free legal aid was granted.
