Man Killed By Bonfire Explosion

November 6, 2006 A man died when an object exploded from a bonfire. Fire investigators said they believe the man was hit by a gas canister at the fire in Bilston near Wolverhampton on Saturday evening. West Midlands Fire Service dealt with 354 incidents on Saturday, 75% of which were firework related. A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service described the death as a "tragic incident" and warned people to check the contents of fires.
