Manchester Cathedral, no faith in Sony.

Sony has apologised for guns in the Cathedral
Sony has apologised to Manchester Cathedral for using the building interior as a setting for a computer shooting game without permission.
It is reported, in the Manchester Evening News, that a letter from the company, received recently, says it: ‘was not our intention to cause offence’. Adding ‘If we have done so, we sincerely apologise.’
The Dean of Manchester Cathedral is reported as saying: "We acknowledge the admission by Sony that the building in the game is Manchester Cathedral. We thank Sony for the apology they have made.
"However, we do not move from the position that we are against violence and especially the gun violence seen in this portrayal of the Cathedral."
Perhaps Sony could show their sincerity by contributing to the upkeep of this historic building?
It should be remembered that prior to the Reformation all Parish Churches, as the Cathedral was originally, were Roman Catholic buildings. Political correctness forced their congregations to recognise the King as Head of the Church (of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />England): days of violence. I am pleased to see that Prince Charles has the courage to recognise the value of most faiths and respect them.
When the Pope gave the title ‘defender of the faith’ to King Henry VIII it was the Roman Catholic faith the King defended. The Pope deprived him of his designation, following the Reformation, but the King then gave himself the title.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />'Faith of our fathers, living still,
In spite of dungeon, fire and sword ... '
Talk about gun games!
