I'm from Dexter, Michigan, USA, where I grew up on a sheep farm.

I studied History, Latin American Studies, and Environmental Studies @ the University of Michigan. My thesis was on tourism development and its impacts in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, southern Patagonia, Argentina.

I'm also one of the blog editors for The Mountain Fund, a non-profit based out of Albuquerque, NM which promotes health care, education, women's rights, environmental sustainability, and responsible tourism in mountain regions around the world! I edit our page here on NowPublic, as well - username mtnfund.

I'm a rock climber into traveling as much as I possibly can. Can't have one without the other. I'm a foreigner most of the time. I have been moving between the US, Australia, and China for the past two years (Argentina, Thailand, and Malaysia in between). Hanging out in NSW, Australia for the rest of the year...
