Today has been an interesting day in Montreal, where over a week of meetings among thousands of international delegates regarding climate change has yielded little agreement and much discontent.

As the meetings started winding down today both Paul Martin and Bill Clinton used their time in the spotlight to bash the Bush administration's reluctance to ratify the Kyoto protocol, or even consider putting the environment above the economy. Bill Clinton was particularly vocal, saying that Bush was "flat wrong" in his stance. Apparently Mr. Clinton doesn't believe prosperity and a healthy environment are mutualy exclusive desires.

Agreements have been struck witch will see future UN meetings on the issue of climate change, but it is unclear if the US will attend.
