The race card rears its head again - this time played by Barack Obama, and probably for a good reason. African-Americans are deeply torn by the desire to advance the careers of role models, while trying to keep alive their traditional alignment with the Democratic Party.

Illinois Sen. Barack Obama told an audience of 1,000 mostly African-American Democrats Friday that they should not cast ballots for Republican Senate candidate Michael S. Steele simply because he is black, making a plea to them to consider their party loyalties just four days before the election.

We're looking for Marylanders who might have attended political rallies - or are thinking about documenting voting day events. Please consider helping us cover this important election.
