A lawsuit against McDonald's that was dropped a while back has been given the go ahead in a strange turn of events-- and with that -- it has once again created a barrage of editorial musings . The short and long of the story is that two teenage girls sued McDonald's for making them fat. They claim McDonald's used trickery to lure them into the fast-food lovers' paradise.....and now their jeans are too tight. Although I assume, (and this could be incorrect) that they weren't likely waif-like models before. I think before and after pictures would help their case in court.

The question is who is really to blame? Is it the parents...who most likely gave them cash to go and fill up or could it be their school -- maybe they went to McDonald's during school hours ..or is it them? Are they just too gullible to think that deep fried chicken nuggets and french fries aren't going to make them gain weight.

Are we a nation of responsible adults or children? I don't want government to be my Daddy any more than I want it to be my Big Brother.

Thanks for using my "i'm hatin' it" pic.  :)

Regarding your article, I blame everyone involved:

It's McD's fault for making shitty food.

It's the girls' fault for not taking care of themselves.

It's the parents' fault for not stepping into their children's lives and saying, "No more Big Macs."

In my opinion, lawsuits are not the answer for these types of problems.  So what is the answer?  I like to think it's a dash of common sense and a handful of something that too many of us have given up on - self control.
