Meaning of Names
How come we don't name our babies "A-67343" for our first born and then maybe "B-23454" for our second born, and so forth for the rest of our loved ones, in alpha numerical fashion? Life would be so much simpler if we would follow this numerical naming convention, right? No way! These sweet children deserve a name given by their parents with cultural meaning & creative expression. But what are the meaning of names?
How fun it is to choose a name for a brand new bundle of joy with a simple word that tells a story. A story about generations past. An ancestor, perhaps, who made an impact either in society or in our family. All names have meaning and since Adam and Eve, names have been given for identifying and addressing people across all countries and societies, often carrying rich historical meanings. And they will be used for family activities like doing fun kids crafts together, camping, kids gardening projects and casual conversation.
Naming a newborn baby is perhaps one of the most creative endeavors that two people could take on because that given name chosen by the parents will forever stay with a child for the rest of his or her life.
