FILLIP 3 LAUNCH



Please join us Friday April 28 from 7 to 10 pm at the Western Front for

the launch of the third issue of Fillip, a contemporary art review

published by the Projectile Publishing Society three times a year from

Vancouver, British Columbia.

 

FILLIP 3 includes Robert Linsley's meditation on art and astrophysics,

Michele Faguet's essay on two Latin American artist-run centres, and

Jordan Strom's interview with Robert Kleyn. There are exhibition reviews

by Lisa Coulthard on Stan Douglas' Inconsolable Memories, Kimberly

Phillips on Brian Jungen, and Peter Culley on Myfanwy MacLeod.

Additional reviews include Lynn Hershman Leeson by Randy Lee Cutler,

Jeff Wall by Cliff Lauson, Erica Stocking from Anne Lesley Selcer, Corin

Sworn by Jessie Caryl, as well as performance artist Irene Loughlin on

Grant Kester's new book, /Conversation Pieces/.



FILLIP 3 also includes an insert project by New York text-based artist

Stephen Ellwood co-produced by Artspeak.
