Mexican newspaper Reforma reports the latest news about Castro's healthReforma, one of Mexico's most influential newspapers, published an article today, signed by Yolanda Martinez, its correspondent in Cuba, with the latest information about the deteriorating health of the Cuban dictator.
Citing sources close to his family, Martinez reports that in the last few weeks Castro had still more operations in an effort to stop what was described as a "fatal septicemia."
Septicemia is a serious, life-threatening infection that gets worse very quickly. It can arise from infections throughout the body, including infections in the lungs, abdomen, and urinary tract.
The sources told Reforma's correspondent that the dictator has lost a lot of weight, doesn't want to receive visitors and spends most of the time in bed.
