One of Scotland's leading museums has attracted more than three million visitors in its first year following a major refurbishment.

New figures reveal that since Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum reopened, it logged 3,209,825 visits.

Officials said this was more than Edinburgh Castle, the National Museums of Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland combined.

The Glagow attraction is now the 4th most visited museum in the UK.

Only The National Gallery, Tate Modern and British Museum in London attract more visitors in the UK.
