The quake was significantly less than one which measured 3.3 on the Richter scale, and packed a similarly puny punch in the Hamilton-Burlington area back in August 1989. There were also no injuries or damage reported then. Janet Drysdale with Natural Resources Canada says the tremor would have been noticeable. She says people would have felt "a good shake" or even heard a rumble. But some residents of this community west of Toronto say they did feel the vibrations at all.
