Minister lets toll road users go ahead with class action

Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto said here Tuesday toll road users were free to push ahead with their class action lawsuit against the increased tariffs that will apply to 13 turnpike segments starting at 00.00 hours Thursday morning.

"The public have the right to file a law suit but it should be remembered that the toll road tariff increase is also based on rules and legislations," the minister said here on Tuesday.

Minister Kirmanto made the remarks in response to reports that toll road users were collecting signatures and support for the launching of a class action law suit against the government over its policy of raising toll road tariffs.
