Miss Universe Australia contestant fined for stealing pies

A model and part-time TV presenter fears her career could be damaged by a conviction for stealing three pies from a Perth supermarket, a court has heard.

Miss Universe Australia pageant finalist Edwina Joyce Nattrass, 23, bowed her head in court today as she was fined $300 for the theft.

The rail-thin model was so hungry while shopping in a Supa IGA supermarket on July 7 that she grabbed three Jester's pies, eating one immediately, the Perth Magistrates Court heard.
