Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia's liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports
may fall by 14 cargoes, or nearly 4 percent next year, on lower natural
gas output and as more gas is diverted to the local market, an official
at state oil firm Pertamina said on Thursday.

Indonesia, the world's second-biggest LNG exporter after Qatar, has
been struggling to meet export commitments, although the forecast for
2008 marks a much smaller shortfall that in recent years.

"LNG production is expected to fall to 358 cargoes of 125,000 cubic
metres each next year from 372 cargoes," the official, who declined to
be identified, told Reuters. (*) END
