Indonesian shares higher in early trade on Wall St gains, PGN leads

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian shares were higher in early trade
Monday led by gas distributor Perusahaan Gas Negara, with gains on Wall
Street Friday lifting sentiment.

Miners like nickel producer Inco and tin miner Timah advanced on
expectations metal prices will continue rising, in tandem with oil
prices, Thomson Financial reported.

At 9.39 am (0239 GMT), the composite index was up 10.96 points or 0.4 percent at 2,679.66.

The LQ-45 index was up 2.99 points at 588.33.

Gainers led decliners 45 to 10, with 34 stocks unchanged. (*) END
